class descriptions

Classes are 6 weeks long. One hour per week. $100 total.  All participants must provide up to date shot records. 

Puppy
Teaches the puppy how to learn and the owner how to teach.  Skills covered are name recognition, sit, come, down, come, beginning tricks and walking skills. Puppy socialization included.

Obedience
Generally for dogs over a year old who have been through a puppy class and know the essentials of learning.
Expand on puppy skills and develop stay, heeling, come and response times and reliability of commands.
 
Advanced Obedience
This is a specialized class tailored to each group.  Students enrolled in the Advanced class are looking for precision responses to commands.
Prerequisite: dogs must have completed a basic obedience class.

AKC Canine Good Citizen
This class practices the skills required to pass the AKC CGC test.
Prerequisite: dogs must have completed a basic obedience class.

Cirque del Cane (circus of the dog!)
Tricks, Tricks and MORE tricks.   Obstacles, dancing puppies, props, flaming hoops!! (ok, not on actual fire, but let's have a CIRCUS!!)  This class is all about fun. Each dog learns several tricks and we put on a circus on the last day of class! Showcase your teaching skills.  Show off your dogs abilities.
